Project Description

A new $40 million building provide much-needed, up-to-date office accommodation and facilities for Members of Parliament in the long-term, which is essential to allow for the ongoing function of Parliament.

It is a new freestanding 2 level office accommodation building with extensive roof garden located to the east of the existing heritage listed Parliament House. It contains 102 offices for Members of Parliament along with foyers, break-out spaces & amenities.

The new building is linked to Parliament house over 3 levels via a basement tunnel, ground level canopy and bridge at the roof terrace. The project also involves extensive landscaping to integrate into the Parliament House gardens and Parliament will continue to operate throughout the construction period.

Services Provided

  • Review of Design BIM documentation
  • Review of the Sub-Contractors BIM documentation
  • Advising and educating builder on how to view and use the BIM information on an iPad on site
  • Run Sub-Contractor services coordination meetings to ensure buildability and services coordination during install on site
